Every vehicle Upland has sold, what it costs, what they promised it would do, and whether it actually works yet. Updated as the community confirms new information.
How Vehicles Work in Upland
Vehicles in Upland serve multiple purposes: racing, transportation score boosts, and service structure boosts. You buy them through bundle sales in the Upland Store, and they can be placed on properties to provide various bonuses.
The catch? For over six months, most vehicles were sold with boost features described in future tense — meaning you paid real money for functionality that didn't exist yet. The first vehicles with working boost mechanics didn't ship until March 2026.
Upland announced service vehicle boost activation on February 5, 2026 via Squallmuzza in the official Discord and in-game live updates — but no Medium article, blog post, or documentation of boost values was published alongside it. Players independently tested boost behavior starting in April 2026, with JR Wheels documenting specific values. The gap between announcement and player-verified utility was approximately two months. As of this writing, no official documentation of boost values or mechanics has been published.

What Boosts Actually Do
Based on community testing by JR Wheels (April 2026):
Fire Rescue Van tested results:
- Placed on vacant lot: +2.78 Transportation Score
- Placed on Small Fire Station property: +1.79 Service Structure Score boost
- Transportation Score remained at 2.78 when moved to service structure property
These are the first documented boost values from ANY vehicle — and they came from a community member doing manual testing, not from Upland. After 7 months of selling vehicles with promised boosts, Upland has published zero documentation on what those boosts actually do, how they're calculated, or how to maximize them.
More community testing data will be added as it becomes available. If you've tested vehicle boosts, share your findings in our Discord.

Should You Buy Vehicles?
If you race: Cars are functional and Championship Racing is one of the best features in the game. Worth it for racers.
If you want service boosts: Service vehicle boosts are now confirmed live. The values appear small based on early testing (+1.79 service score for a Fire Rescue Van). Whether that ROI justifies $100-$199 depends on your neighborhood strategy.
If you're looking at boats, semis, or construction vehicles: These are bets on future features. Fishing and Trade Routes are both "later in 2026." You're paying now for functionality that doesn't exist yet. Upland has delivered on vehicle boosts (eventually), so there's precedent — but it took 7 months for buses.
